A piece of lime, cut according to the base of the mould, is screwed on the base. It is then shaped to naturally follow the contours of the mould.
In the same way a piece of lime, is placed in a special cavity, at the last mould piece, and formed to fill it exactly. After the blocks are shaped, all the mould ribs are covered with transparent adhesive tape, in order to prevent the staves from sticking to them.
Note: This mould has been used to contruct several sound boxes. In the process described in this site, the last piece of the mould, has been replaced by three, to facilitate construction of the mould.
